Work With Us

Current Positions

We do not have open permanent roles at present. When we do, they will be listed here.

We work with associates on a project basis -- senior engineers and strategists brought in for specific engagements. If that model suits you, we would like to hear from you regardless of timing.

How We Work

Most of our engagements begin before any model is trained or system is built. The work at the start of a project -- understanding what the data actually contains, whether the problem is well-defined, whether the conditions for success exist -- is where the value is determined. We spend more time on this than most.

Deliverables are written documents. A data audit, a strategy, an architecture specification. We write carefully and expect the same from people we work with. The written artefact is not a formality -- it is the work.

We tell clients when we think their approach is wrong. That is a significant part of what they are paying for. People who find that uncomfortable tend not to enjoy working here.

Engagements are small in number and deep in commitment. We do not run a broad portfolio of shallow projects. The model suits people who want to understand a problem fully before moving to a solution.

What We Look For

An ability to write clearly for a non-technical audience. We work with business leaders and the quality of the written output shapes the quality of the engagement.

Comfort with ambiguity at the start of an engagement. Clients rarely arrive with a well-defined problem. The work of defining it precisely is part of what we do.

Technical depth in one or more of: NLP, knowledge graph construction, data infrastructure and pipeline architecture, computer vision, and GPU optimisation. Experience in regulated or data-sensitive environments.

For design and marketing roles: the ability to define an audience, research the market position, develop a strategy, and execute against it. Experience with social media, search, and multimedia engagement.
